I used to believe the Wayback Machine saved everything online perfectly

Then I tried to pull up my old 2004 Angelfire fan page and saw it was just a broken layout with missing images. Has anyone else had a key piece of their personal internet history turn out to be a ghost?

Oh man, my friend was crushed. He tried to show me his old band's MySpace page, and it was just a blank white screen with a broken link. All those photos and songs, just gone.

Yeah, the "ghost" thing is a bit dramatic. It's just how the internet works, stuff goes away. Nancy154's friend needs to chill about the MySpace page, it's not like the actual music is lost if he still has the files. We all knew those free hosting sites were flaky even back then. Is it really a big deal if some old fan page or blog layout breaks?
