That Geocities site I found from 1998 still loads in under 2 seconds

I was digging around for old DIY tree care guides and stumbled on a Geocities page from 1998 about pruning oaks. It's still hosted on a free server and loads faster than most modern sites. I spent 45 minutes just clicking through the guestbook and seeing people's AOL addresses. Has anyone else found a working page from that era that's still up?

Who even cares about a slow web page from the 90s.

Honestly I just read this article about how those old 90s web pages taught people patience. We're so used to everything loading in a second now that we forget what it was like waiting for a single image to pop up line by line. Tbh there's something kind of cool about that slower pace, made you actually read the content instead of just scrolling past it. Ngl I think we lost something when everything got fast and flashy, like the web used to feel more personal when someone spent time making a simple page. Maybe I'm just old but I think those slow pages had more character than all the slick stuff today.
