That old webmaster who told me to ditch Flash in 2007 was completely right about everything

He straight up told me "Flash is going to die on mobile" and I ignored him for 3 years until Apple killed it on the iPhone and I had to rebuild 12 entire client sites from scratch, anyone else get burned by following the wrong tech trends back then?

Oh man, that Flash thing was a real mess for a lot of people. Actually, it was Adobe that killed Flash on mobile, not Apple directly (they just refused to support it first). Ended up having to redo a bunch of my old portfolio sites too, so I feel your pain there.

Man, you just reminded me of something nobody talks about - the folks who jumped ship to Silverlight thinking that was the safe bet. I had a buddy who went all in on that and Microsoft abandoned it even faster than Flash died. At least you got three years out of Flash before the reckoning.
