My hand-painted signs got 3x more foot traffic than printed ones

I switched from digital banners to hand-painted signs outside my shop in Portland about 2 months ago. People actually stop to read them and even take photos, which never happened before. Has anyone else noticed a difference with hand-done signage vs printed stuff?

I read somewhere that handwritten signs trigger a curiosity response in people's brains because they know a human actually made it. Pretty wild that it tripled your traffic though.

Yeah it's real. @diana72 nailed it - people trust hand-painted more because they know someone spent time on it. The rough edges give it character that digital just can't match.
