Update: Random web address opened a town history archive
I was trying to remember old websites and one brought up scanned newspapers from the 1920s. This archive doesn't show up in searches, so I came across it myself.

Actually it probably does show up in searches, just not easily. A lot of those old scanned archives are buried because their website code is a mess. Try the search with the exact newspaper name and the year, that sometimes digs them up.

Back in 2003, my cousin scanned a bunch of our family reunion photos and put them on some free hosting site. I swear that site is a ghost now. @margaretr26 is right about the messy code thing, because I can sometimes see the blurry thumbnail in a search but the link is just broken. It's like the internet just swallows stuff whole after a while. You ever find a page that says it has your answer but it's just a blank white screen?
