Actually, the new ones last way longer and are safer.

What kind did you get? I always thought the old style was fine, but my friend showed me the test data on the new ones and it really changed my mind. They don't wear out nearly as fast.

Prove it though. Where's the actual data that shows they last longer? I've been hearing this for years but nobody can ever point me to a real study or test that isn't funded by the company making the new ones. When I look at consumer reports or independent tests the numbers are always way closer than what the marketing says. And safer how exactly? Like safer during use or safer to dispose of because I've heard conflicting stuff about the waste. Not trying to be difficult here but I've been burned by "new and improved" too many times to just take someones word for it.
