inSwitched from a local lab to mail-order developing, saved $12 a roll
The Darkroom is pretty solid for the price but idk if saving $12 a roll is worth losing the ability to talk to someone in person if they mess up your negs.

inStumbled on an old Geocities fan page for a defunct band last night
Right click that guestbook address and save a copy of the whole page to your desktop. Wayback Machine links break eventually but a local HTML file won't.

inThat customer who wanted me to hide the keypad in a drawer
People get so caught up in aesthetics they forget the whole point of having something. I see this everywhere now, not just with alarms. Someone spends ten grand on a kitchen renovation and suddenly a tiny keypad is an eyesore but a drawer full of junk is fine. It's like people think security is just for show, like a decorative vase you never put flowers in. Makes me wonder if they'd buy a fire extinguisher and hide it in a closet because it clashes with the wall color.

inDropped $70 on that fancy Kickstarter board game organizer and it was a total scam
Dropped $70 on that fancy Kickstarter board game organizer" is exactly why I stopped backing anything on Kickstarter for board game accessories. I've had pretty good luck with a few cheap plastic organizers from Amazon, they don't look as nice but they fit right and cost like $20. That said, nothing beats ziploc bags for keeping things simple and actually working.

inUnpopular opinion: dead malls have better lighting for photos than any studio I've been in
That bit about the silence soaking up the harsh edges really hit home. I took a few photos in an abandoned warehouse once and it was the same deal, no echo from people just a dead quiet that made everything look almost too sharp. Tried it at golden hour once and the light just sat there in the dust, no warmth to it at all. Weirdly perfect for what I was after, though.
